9-day tour which includes the historic Mackinac Island
It's almost time to take another trip to Mackinac Island. This wonderful 9-day trip includes so many tours and side trips! See the Gerald Ford Presidental Museum and Greenfield Village. Travel to Hardy's Reindeer Ranch where you can feed AND kiss reindeer and then enjoy a fantastic chuck wagon meal. Visit the majestic castle of Castle Farms built in 1928 and enjoy an amazing lunch and see the 70 G-scale trains running on 2500 feet of track. You'll stay at the Thunder Bay Resort where you will be picked up at your hotel by a horse & carriage and taken on a ride to an amazing dinner. Visit Frankenmuth, MI where you will have the opportunity to wander the small town on your own. Then ending with a visit to Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland - where you will find all the CHRISTmas you need!! Cops and Doughnuts - this fun stop is run by some local police officers. We'll take a tram ride through Frederick Meijer Gardens and visit Casey Illinois for the world's largest attractions. Let's go visit an Organic Maple Sugar Farm and see Paramount Theatre in Anderson Indiana where you will see the night sky above you in this beautiful theatre. AND OF COURSE........We'll go to Mackinac Island where you are met with a horse and carriage (there is only 1 police car, 1 ambulance and 1 firetruck on the island). You can walk, ride a bike or horse. There's soooo many fudge shops that you'll be fudged out!! The main attraction of the island is the Grand Hotel. It was featured in the movie Somewhere in Time. The hotel is as grand as its name. You will not only enjoy a lunch buffet here, but the group gets to stay in the hotel this year and enjoy breakfast the next morning. Even if you've done this trip before it's definitely worth doing again for the experience of staying in the Grand Hotel.
Reindeer Ranch
Hardy's Reindeer Ranch is a unique tour destination in Central Illinois. Gerald Ford Presidential Museum
The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum is a 54,000 square foot educational and cultural facility, located on the bank of the Grand River in downtown Grand Rapids. Dedicated to the life and work of former United States President Gerald Ford, the Gerald R. Ford Museum is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The museum presents many enjoyable and educational outreach events, including vintage fashion shows featuring clothing worn by the President and his wife.
